8/1703 = $140 Victorian matching pair used for shielding the face and the size to be placed on a small table original cream silk shields - discoloured - embroidery in shape of a crescent including green beads brass crosses and cream ceramic shafts The bases are cream heavy ceramic four rows of raised gilt dots tassels and fringing - shaft has been damaged on one & fixed with plaster-of Paris? - chip on one side of its base & some fringing loose - Registered Design diamond mark on each base also has maker’s mark C&T I for metal W March 1870 4820 The embroidereries can be restored - for their age they are in good condition! 530x240mm
