Libby Savage
AUSTRALIA

It is always exciting for me to find a new silversmith in Australia who has started to produce silver thimbles
Thimble making is a new venture for this silversmith, who has been practising her craft for 8 years
Her sterling silver thimbles - not made to size but a beautiful 16mm fit - have a hand indented apex - each will be different being created by hand
Libby has just begun creating plique-a-jour jewellery, so it is natural that she tried this technique for a enamel and silver thimble. Using .999 silver, these translucent marvels take weeks to create
Willing to design and make sewing tools, Libby has created a sterling silver needlecase, with a novel and practical opening device
All items are marked with her maker's mark [LS] and the silver mark

Libby would like to accept commissions from collectors for handmade modern quality silver thimbles
prices range from $50 - $300

Please email me for Libby's contact details
